Bolt from the blue: Lightning strike devastated a house at Gangaiamman Kovil Street at Saram in Puducherry on Sunday, damaging most of the household appliances.
Lightning strikes at a house on Gangaiamman Kovil Street at Saram here on Sunday damaging the ceiling, walls, electrical wires and other household appliances. However, no casualty was reported. The police said lightning struck the house of Sekar around noon. The entire electrical wiring of the house got burnt and appliances such as television and refrigerator were damaged. Fire and Rescue Services personnel put out the fire.
