Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi, along with the students of a private school, participated in a cleanliness rally on Saturday.

A release from Raj Nivas said the students of ‘The Study’ were the first batch of students who were invited to join the Swachh rally. Ms. Bedi said that the movement belonged to the people of Puducherry. Students and people were welcome to join the morning Swachh rounds on bicycle.

The rally to be held every weekend would ensure that the sanitary staff remained alert and kept the streets clean. It would gradually move from main lanes to the bylanes so that the inside streets of Puducherry also were maintained clean and neat, she said.
