The government has extended the last date for submission of applications for admission to Government arts and science colleges through the Centralised Admission Procedure for Arts and Science Courses (CAPASC) to June 19.
As of Friday, the CAPASC office had received 5,200 applications of the 7,000 forms issued.
According to CAPASC convener, the deadline had been deferred from June 12 to 5 p.m. on June 19 for the convenience of students.
Difficulties in getting certificates
Several students and parents had sought extension of the last date owing to difficulties in obtaining relevant certificates.
