The two institutions will promote inclusive and sustainable development

Jipmer on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Chennai-based Institute for Financial Management and Research Leveraging Evidence for Access and Development (IFMR LEAD) for academic collaboration.

As per the MoU signed at IFMR Chennai, the two institutions would join hands to promote and enhance scientific and academic cooperation and interaction in mutually beneficial areas.

Boosting research

The MoU, which provides a formal basis for initiating interaction between the institutions, seeks to synergise IFMR LEAD’s high-quality, scalable research and evidence-based outreach to promote inclusive and sustainable development and Jipmer’s expertise as an institute of national importance established by a special act of Parliament, a Jipmer press note said.

IFMR LEAD partners with influential stakeholders and institutions to inform policy-making and leaders and have a presence across India and South Asia and have a team of over 100 researchers.

The MoU was signed by Dr. S.C. Parija, Director, Jipmer and IFMR LEAD representative Sharon Buteau Executive Director.

Dr. Rakesh Nigam, Professor and Dr. Sapna Nair, Consultant from IFMR LEAD and senior faculties of Jipmer were present.
