Opposition All India N R Congress (AINRC) MLA Chandra Priyanka on Wednesday brought to the notice of the government during the Zero Hour, the various difficulties patients faced at the Government General Hospital in Karaikal district.

Ms. Priyanka, a first time Legislator from Nedungadu constituency, said that ego clash among doctors was coming in the way of giving good patient care in the hospital, particularly in curbing the Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) in Karaikal.

The MLA pointed out that Karaikal district was reeling under various shortcomings. She suggested that the government should provide coaching to students appearing for the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) and there should be no involvement of private players in this, Ms. Priyanka added.
