Congress will counter claims of BJP: Subramanian

May 26, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:55 am IST - PUDUCHERRY:

Puducherry Pradesh Congress Committee president A.V. Subramanian on Monday said his party would conduct programmes to counter the claims of the Bharatiya Janatha Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance Government at Centre.

Talking to reporters here, Mr.Subramanian said the Narendra Modi Government has been implementing the schemes brought by Congress-led United Progressive Alliance.

He also charged that the Union Government has not brought any new scheme to Union Territory during its one year rule at Centre and added that the BJP Government was anti-farmer and pro-corporate and had failed on all fronts.

The Congress leader further pointed out that during the Lok Sabha Election, the AINRC had promised to the public that it would get more allocation funds from the Union Government if the NDA alliance came to power.

Even after one year after the BJP Government came to power at Centre, not a single worthwhile scheme was implemented.
