Congress re-nominates Narayanasamy

The Congress has re-nominated sitting Member of Parliament and Union Minister of State in Prime Minister’s Office V. Narayanasamy (67) for the Puducherry constituency for the second consecutive time. He has been fielded against All India N.R. Congress candidate R. Radhakrishnan. M.V. Omalingam (AIADMK) and A.M.H. Nazeem (DMK) are other leading candidates in the constituency.

Mr. Narayanasamy joined the Congress in 1975 and has held several important positions. He is the Union Minister of State in Prime Minister’s Office since 2011.

Congress leaders and cadre gave Mr. Narayanasamy a rousing reception when he arrived here after being declared the Congress’ candidate for Puducherry constituency on Friday.
