The Home Ministry on Thursday transferred IAS and IPS officers in Puducherry.
The Ministry transferred Chief Electoral Officer V. Candavelou to Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Finance Secretary Tasrem Kumar to Delhi, Secretary Town and Country Planning P. Jawahar to Mizoram and Secretary to the Chief Minister P. Parthiban to Arunachal Pradesh.
The Ministry had also posted IAS officers — Shurbir Singh (2004 batch), K. Mahesh (2009), Purva Garg (2015) and Arjun Sharma (2015 ) to Puducherry. The first three officers were serving in Delhi and the other one at Chandigarh.
Senior Superintendent of Police (Law and Order) Apoorva Gupta has been transferred to Mizoram. A 2015 batch IPS officer Niharika Bhatt has been posted from Chandigarh to Puducherry.
