BJP workers protest against violence in Kolkata

Workers of the Puducherry unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday staged a sit-in protest in front of the Head Post Office here on Wednesday to condemn the violence and alleged attack on party president Amit Shah in Kolkata.

The protesters, led by BJP president V. Saminathan, raised slogans against the Trinamool Congress government.

They alleged that Trinamool workers vandalised the statue of Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar inside a campus and blamed the BJP.
