School principals to be honoured at function

Principal’s Day 2017 to be held today

The Hindu in School is organising ‘Principal’s Day 2017’ commemorating Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary celebrations on Wednesday to recognise the contributions of school heads in nurturing young minds with knowledge and wisdom.

The event held in association with Camlin and CK Kids will be inaugurated by Education Minister R. Kamalakannan at 10.15 a.m. at the Crystal Hall, Hotel Atithi on 126, SV Patel Salai.

Panel discussion

The inaugural will be followed by a panel discussion on ‘Let's make learning fun’. The panel members are R. Kishore Kumar, Senior Principal, St John's International Residential School, Chennai; Aravindan, MD, Achariya Group of Schools, Puducherry and V Sujee Vijay, Principal, CK School, Cuddalore.

The session will be moderated by Senthil Kumar.

About 75 school principals from Puducherry, Cuddalore and Villupuram are expected to participate in the event.
