Ticketless travel nets CR ₹11.24 crore in April

Mumbai: The Mumbai Division of the Central Railway registered a record number of ticketless travel cases in April. The railway collected ₹11.24 crore as fine in 1.9 lakh cases.

In the corresponding period, last year, it had collected ₹ 8.6 crore in 1.5 lakh cases. Divisional Regional Manager S.K Jain, said, “This is the best-ever performance of the division for any month. The second highest collection was ₹8.87 crore in May 2017. We appeal to passengers to travel with tickets.”
