Former Mumbai Police Commissioner Julio Ribeiro has written to Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court seeking intervention in the ongoing "media trial" in the >Sheena Bora murder case .

The one-page letter was sent on Thursday.

"Everyday the media, in particular the electronic media, is investigating the crime. They have already convicted the accused persons against all tenets of justice. This daily trial and prosecution should not be allowed. I have sought the court's intervention to stop it," Mr. Ribeiro told The Hindu .
