One more witness has been declared hostile by the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court hearing the 2011 murder trial of journalist J. Dey. A retired assistant police inspector Tukaram Deolkar recorded confessional statements of three accused — Arun Dake, Dipak Sisodia and Polson Palitra — on three dates and took them to three divisional commissioner of police officers.

On being questioned by special public prosecutor Pradeep Gharat, Mr. Deolkar intermixed the names of the accused and the DCPs. In the last hearing, a CD-ROM of a conversation between extradited gangster Chhota Rajan and real estate broker Manoj Shivdasani was played before the court. The witness being examined identified the voice of Rajan. Former journalist Jigna Vora was also named by Rajan in the conversation. MLA Sunil Raut and three journalists are among those who have been declared hostile.
