Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar was on Thursday rushed to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai after being diagnosed for food poisoning.

Sources in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) told The Hindu that Mr. Parrikar was examined at Goa Medical College (GMC) hospital at Bambolim in North Goa on Wednesday night after he complained of stomach pain.

Mr. Parrikar decided to have a check-up at Lilavati as he did not want to take any chances before the budget session of Assembly next week. Doctors at GMC said on Thursday that the CM had pancreatitis.
