One person died and two were injured in three separate incidents following heavy rain in the city over the past two days.

A woman died due to electrocution on Tuesday afternoon in Ghatkopar (East). Ratna Sunil Kamble (28), was alone at home when the incident took place. “When her daughter came back from coaching class, she found her mother lying still and called the neighbours,” an officer with the Antop Hill police said. The victim was taken to Rajawadi Hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival.

On Wednesdayafternoon, a landslide at Sion Koliwada injured Shailamma Sanmugon Devendra. Heavy rain caused a portion of a rock to fall on her shanty in Sallamuddin Hill slum, an officer with the Pant Nagar police said. She was admitted to Sion Hospital.

Meanwhile, Laxmikant Singh (40) was injured on Wednesday when a tree fell on him at 2.40 p.m at Ghatkopar (West). He was treated at Hindusabha Hospital.
