Bollywood actor Sunny Leone reportedly slapped a person posing as a reporter during a Holi event in Surat, Gujarat on Thursday. The incident occurred in a hotel lobby where some mediapersons had assembled to interact with her.

“You were a porn star earlier and now a movie star so how much you charge for the night programmes,” was the question that angered Leone, who immediately slapped the person.

“It is true that she lost her temper when she was asked about how much she charged for ‘night programmes’ but the person who asked the question was posing as a reporter. He was not a genuine scribe,” a journalist from Surat who was present at the hotel said.

Following the incident, she had called the organisers to ensure adequate security at the venue where she was supposed to dance in the event called ‘Holi with Sunny Leone’.

When the media reported on Friday that the actress had slapped a journalist in Surat, she denied the accusation. However, a Surat-based journalist told The Hindu said her denial was specifically about not slapping any reporter, as “the person who was slapped was not associated with any media.”

No police complaint has been filed either by the actor or the organizers about the incident.

Meanwhile, the organisers who had invited the Bollywood star for the event went underground as the news spread in the media and particularly in the social media. “The organisers had turned off their mobiles and were not reachable the whole day on Friday,” said another reporter from Surat.
