The Bombay High Court on Wednesday directed chairman emeritus of the Raymond Group, Dr. Vijaypat Singhania, to file an affidavit disclosing the status of all his properties listed in a family settlement.

A Division Bench of Justices Abhay Oka and A.A. Sayed was hearing an appeal filed by the grandchildren of Dr. Singhania against a single judge of the High Court that refused interim relief to them in the family property dispute seeking their share.

Mr. Singhania’s eldest son Madhupati moved court seeking direction for his father to not deal with any property in the 1998 family settlement. The appellants in the case are Mr. Madhupati’s children Raivathari, Ananya, Rasaalika and Tarini seeking their share of the family property.

They had sought a direction from the High Court restraining their grandfather from any transactions dealing with the assets that belong to the family.
