After Leader of Opposition Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil’s son Dr. Sujay Vikhe-Patil joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday, talks of a son of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MP and one Congress MLA joining the BJP was doing the rounds.

Ranjitsinh Mohite-Patil, son of NCP MP from Madha Vijaysinh Mohite-Patil, and Congress MLA from Vadala Kalidas Kolambkar are reportedly considering joining the BJP. Mr. Mohite-Patil on Tuesday held a meeting with BJP leader Girish Mahajan.

Talking to reporters Mr. Mahajan said, “The meeting was related to water issues in his area. It would not be proper to give it political connotations.”

Asked whether more leaders would join the BJP, Mr. Mahajan replied, “Yes, you may see more entries.” BJP’s Maharashtra unit chief Raosaheb Danve said the Opposition is set to suffer many more tremors in due course of time.
