Microsoft chief Satya Nadella delivered a keynote address at Microsoft’s 'Future Unleashed’ event in Mumbai on Thursday. The India-born CEO will also meet industry leaders like Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra, Axis Bank head Shikha Sharma and Tata Starbucks CEO Avani Davda on Thursday.

Last month, Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg visited India and addressed a Townhall at IIT-Delhi.

Satya Nadella begins his address

11:15 am: Microsoft to launch Surface Pro 4 in India in January 2016.

11:08 am: We need to create new types of computing, computers.

11:04 am: Technology cannot substitute great teachers but we can help the State in its efforts to bring in good education.

11:00 am: We have launched an India-specific cloud service.

10:52 am: Nadella shows his e-mail Inbox with mails from his senior leadership team.

Here's an interesting bit: he's using an iPhone to demo the Microsoft technologies. He clarifies, "But I use a Microsoft phone," and demos his company technology on his personal phone.

10:44 am: Work is not a place you go to, work is when you make things happen where you are.

10:42 am: Mobility of the human experience and collaboration will drive productivity.

10:40 am: Today's world is mobile first and cloud first.

10:37 am: I am amazed at the energy and ingenuity in India, says the India-born CEO.

10:03 am: Communications and IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad will meet Microsoft chief Satya Nadella today to discuss the company’s plan to provide broadband connectivity in villages, sources say.

10:00 am: During Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the Silicon Valley, the Redmond-based company said it is also working on making affordable Internet access available to 5 lakh villages in the country.

9:57 am: Microsoft India General Manager (Marketing and Operations) Tyler Bryson had told PTI : “Satya is in India on a one-day visit to Mumbai to deliver a keynote at Microsoft’s Future Unleashed. During the day, he is expected to meet industry leaders like Anand Mahindra, Shikha Sharma, Mukund Rajan, Brand Custodian & Spokesperson, Tata Group, among others.”
