Twenty doctors from the ‘A’ Ward Medical Association, consisting of Churchgate, Colaba and Cuffe Parade areas, held a medical camp at Dayanand Hospital in Talasari taluka of Palghar district on Sunday.

The doctors catered to 1,000 patients in the area. “There were many children with malnutrition, sickle cell anaemia, and scabies. Many also required deworming. Some patients were in need of surgeries as well,” said Dr. Parminder Koska, the president of the association.

The camp was organised along with the District Grand Lodge of Bombay. “We gave painkillers, antibiotics, antacids, and supplements to the patients. We will try to fund a few surgeries,” said Dr. Koska. The association organises such camps at least twice a year in different places.
