Crime scene: Thane police personnel collect blood samples from the spot where matka king Babu Nadar was attacked on Saturday night.
History-sheeter Babu Nadar, who is also known as matka king in Thane, was attacked by three men on Saturday night. According to the Kopri police, the accused, identified as Sunny Telure (28), Harish Telure (16) and Bobby Telure (17), assaulted Mr. Nadar with knives and a 500 gm weight.
He suffered multiple injuries and is currently admitted to the intensive care unit of Jupiter Hospital in Thane.
While investigations are under way, the police said a previous enmity triggered the attack.
