Mumbai: Police are on the lookout for four robbers who made off with ₹16.58 lakh from a cash van after intercepting it near Mankhurd railway station. Police said the incident took place near Dhobi Ghat on the Sion Panvel highway around 4 p.m.

The van was headed to the city after collecting cash from Mankhurd station. The cash van was operated by Securitrans India Pvt. Ltd. A senior railways official said they will not be bearing the loss to the security firm. “Once the cash is transferred to the van, it is the bank and the agency’s responsibility.”
