Art: Chitpur (dis) Local

The travelling art show originated in the historic north Kolkata neighbourhood of Chitpur. Comprising artists of Hamdasti, a Kolkata-based collective, the event has been organised by the Mumbai Art Room. Initiated in 2013, the project explores the role of art in restoring the histories of cultural production. The works of artists Manas Acharya, Sumona Chakravarty, Nilanjan Das, and Varshita Khaitan will be on display. The project has also brought together students, teachers and local shop-owners from Chitpur.Time: 7 pm
