Gig: Thaalavattam and Daniel Waples

Groove to the organic beats of two percussionists who are in town for their India tour. Thaalavattam is Kochi-based Montry Manuel’s project that creates percussion instruments from discarded paint cans, soda cans, metal pieces and PVC pipes, to inspire people to creatively reuse waste. An independent musician from London, Daniel Waples plays the handpan, a metallic instrument known for its mesmerising melodies and its association with alternative healing. Entry: Rs. 500. Tickets are available at the venue.
