Tata Group firm Voltas on Tuesday reported a 51.4 per cent increase in its consolidated net profit at Rs. 180.7 crore for the March quarter, on account of improvement in order execution by projects business.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs. 119.3 crore in the January-March quarter of 2014-15 fiscal, Voltas said in a BSE filing.
Voltas’ net sales rose 26.4 per cent to Rs. 1,875.7 crore in the fourth quarter of 2015-16 fiscal as compared with Rs. 1,484.1 crore in the same period last fiscal. Revenue from its Electro-mechanical Projects and Services business stood at Rs. 818.6 crore during the quarter under review, up 36.5 per cent, as against Rs. 599.7 crore in the year-ago period. — PTI
