Anand Mahindra awarded highest French civilian honour

Anand Mahindra, chairman and managing director of Mahindra & Mahindra, has been conferred the Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur (Knight of the Legion of Honour), the highest French civilian distinction by François Richier, Ambassador of France to India, in recognition of his outstanding national and international achievements and initiatives at the helm of the Mahindra Group.

Mr Mahindra is recognised as a prominent business leader in India, who has turned Mahindra & Mahindra into a global company of repute. Under his leadership, fruitful partnerships have been developed, among many others, between French and Indian industries.

Mr Mahindra is also known for promoting both primary and higher education.
