As part of ensuring safety of pedestrians and motorists, all weak avenue trees along important roads in the city would be cleared shortly. A decision in this regard was taken at a taluk committee meeting, chaired by District Collector N. Prasanth, here, on Saturday.

People’s representatives expressed their concern in the wake of a recent incident in which five members of a family drowned in the sea near Kappad.
