Two medical students killed in road accident

Their car was hit by a tanker lorry

Two medical students died when a tanker lorry hit a car on the national highway at Ayanikkadu near Payyoli in Kozhikode district on Tuesday morning.

Mohammed Fayis, 20, of Chombala, and Vishnu, 20, of Perambra were driving to Thalassery when their car was hit by the tanker lorry bound for Kozhikode at 2 a.m. at Kuttiyilpeedika at Ayanikkadu. The accident led to a traffic jam on the national highway for some time.

Both the students were grievously injured and were admitted to the Government Medical College Hospital, Kozhikode. They died later.

Both of them were studying in a Chinese university and had come home on vacation.
