Next step: The “Startup to Scale Up” programme at the UL Cyber Park in Kozhikode on Thursday is meant for start-ups that have completed the prototype stage.

The “Startup to Scale Up” programme, organised by the Kerala StartUp Mission (KSUM) aimed at training startups will be held at UL Cyber Park here on Thursday.

Saji Gopinath, chief executive officer, KSUM, said that the one-day event was meant for start-ups that have completed the prototype stage.

One-to-one mentoring

This would help in the growth of start-ups at the next level. “There will also one-to-one mentoring,” he said. Tech entrepreneur and mentor Avelo Roy, who is also Startup Advisor to the Prime Minister of Nepal, would lead the programme, Dr. Gopinath said.

The startups will be given orientation such as timing to scale up, selection of the team and resource mobilisation, besides, finance management and effective networking.

Already, the KSUM and Startup Village programmes are looking at college-based startups. A framework has been created to help professionals and college teachers.

Dr. Gopinath said that a similar event would also be at the Integrated Startup Complex in Kochi on Friday and at Technopark in Thiruvananthapuram, on Saturday.
