One of the sessions at this year’s Tathva, the annual techno-management festival of National Institute of Technology, Calicut (NIT-C), will deal with the theme of rebuilding Kerala in the aftermath of the floods.

Organisers of the event told the media here on Tuesday that the session would provide a platform for civil engineering students to air various ideas to make a difference in society using technical knowledge. V.S. Ramachandran, Director, Regional Science Centre and Planetarium, Kozhikode, will inaugurate the fest on October 11.

Midulaj Safreen, student convener, said exhibitions, workshops, and lectures would be held in the next three days. There would be events for each branch of engineering. ‘Young Engineer’ would give an opportunity to school students to display their projects and ‘Blitzkrieg’, a gaming event, would pit best gamers in the country against each other. A drone show and exhibition of humanoid robots would be one of the innovative shows this year. The School of Management Studies too is part of the events. Registration can be done on www.tathva.org.
