P. Vijayan, Inspector General of Police, has been selected for the first Balan Ambadi Trust Social Excellence Award. Mr. Vijayan was chosen for the honour taking into account his contributions to the constitution of the Student Police Cadet scheme. K. Dasan, MLA, will confer the award on the officer at an event to be held at Moodadi on December 16, a press release said.
