Tourists from Australia being welcomed at the Cochin International Airport at Nedumbassery on Saturday.

The first chartered flight from Australia for the season landed at the Cochin International Airport here around 6 p. m. on Saturday.

The tourists, numbering 46, were given a warm reception after the Kerala tradition.

The arrival of the tourists from Australia is a significant development a month after unprecedented rains and floods in the State.

State tourism officials had earlier described the expected arrival of the tourists as a strong message that Kerala Tourism was ready to welcome guests after a quick recovery from the floods in the State.
