Put an end to smoking, says writer

The evil effects of tobacco use affect not just the user, but those around him also, writer and sociologist N.P. Hafiz Mohammed has said.

Delivering the keynote address at a programme organised by the Department of Chest Diseases of the Government Medical College here on Friday on World No Tobacco Day, he said that the laws against tobacco use were not being implemented effectively. He said it was the duty of every citizen to intervene and stop smoking. Medical College Principal C. Ravindran inaugurated the awareness programme.
