Nurses being recruited for Saudi Arabia

The Overseas Development and Employment Promotion Consultants (ODEPC) is planning to open a regional centre in either Kozhikode or Malappuram district to cater to the northern districts.

ODEPC Chairman K.P. Mohammed Kutty said the public sector recruitment organisationthat began functioning in 1990 had diversified into travel business and skill development over the years. It is recruiting people from Kerala for jobs in the Gulf, Malaysia, Singapore, Maldives and Canada.

The Ministry of Health of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia requires B.Sc. nurses with two years of experience, excluding internship. Priority will be given to nurses returned from strife-torn Iraq. These nurses shall approach the ODEPC to confirm their participation.

Online registration for nurses to be recruited for jobs in Saudi Arabia will be held on August 14, 15 and 16 in Kochi.

There are also openings for consultant/ specialist/ resident doctors in the Republic of Maldives.

There is an urgent requirement for doctors in gynaecology, anaesthesia and general surgery.

Interested candidates shall visit the website www.odepc.kerela.gov.in for details and registration. The ODEPC had opened a databank of retired employees who were willing to work, as many renowned firms are ready to employ them, Mr. Mohammed Kutty said. Managing Director G.M. Muraleedharan and General Manager Shameem Ahamed were present at the press meet.
