No toll collection on Kunjipally RoB

Toll collection will be avoided on the rail overbridge at Kunjipally in Kozhikode district, PWD Minister G. Sudhakaran said on Wednesday.

The RoB was built by the Roads and Bridges Development Corporation of Kerala Ltd (RBDCK) at a cost of ₹11.5 crore. Though a provision exists for toll collection on bridges constructed by the RBDCK, the government took the decision in line with its policy of avoiding toll collection. The current LDF government stopped toll collection on 24 bridges after it came to power in 2016, Mr. Sudhakaran said.
