The Town police on Thursday seized a mobile phone which was found inside the toilet of a commercial building at Yamuna arcade in the city.

The police said the mobile phone with camera facility was found by a woman employee of the shopping complex, and the police were informed following suspicion that it was kept there for recording video.

However, the police could not find any recorded clips in the phone, which did not have slot for memory card. It was later sent to the Cyber Cell for detailed inspection.

The police quizzed a 38-year-old man, who owned the phone, in connection with the incident.

“As per preliminary investigation, he had no intention to record visuals,” a police officer from the Town police station said.

“As per the statement, he accidentally left the phone there,” the officer said.
