The Kozhikode Corporation will enter a supplementary agreement with Kalluthankadavu Area Development Company (KADCo) for the additional land acquisition for the construction of the Kalluthankadavu Housing Complex.
The corporation will secure a loan for land acquisition, which has become necessary for the completion of the project to rehabilitate 140 families displaced for development projects or living in slums.
Mayor Thottathil Raveendran said that the work on the apartment complex would resume within 40 days of the agreement and would be completed within four months. The decision was announced in the Corporation council’s meeting on Tuesday.
Tagore hall rent cut
The council also approved a considerable cut in the rent for Tagore Centenary Hall owing to the repair of the air conditioner in the hall.
Vet hospital
The control of the ABC Multispecialty Veterinary Hospital, recently opened at Poolakkadavu, has been transferred to the Corporation Health Wing, from the development wing, as animal birth control is the health wing’s responsibility. Moreover, Corporation Veterinary Surgeon Greeshma V.S. has been appointed as the implementation officer of the project.
