Kozhikode leads in inter-medicos fest

Film-maker Ranjith opens stage events on day five

Government Medical College, Kozhikode, is far ahead in the run for overall championship in ‘Elementa 2K17’, the Inter-medicos festival, with 200 points on the fifth day of the event.

When 56 out of the 107 events were completed, TD Medical College, Alappuzha, scored 91 points to gain the second position, while Government Medical Colleges, Thrissur and Thiruvananthapuram, are in a tight contest for the third spot having scored 78 and 71 points respectively.

The fifth day also marked the official inauguration of stage events by film-maker Ranjith. Mayor Thottathil Raveendran presided over the function.

Orchestra (eastern and western), Jugalbandhi, Drama, Mime, Fancy Dress, and dance events were held on Friday, besides fun events like Tom Dick and Harry and Potpourri. The 6th day will witness crowd-pulling events such as Oppana, fashion show, Margam Kali, and instrumental music.

Fancy Dress: 1. Krishnapriya, T.S. Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, 2. Gayathri Binu, SUT Academy of Medical Sciences, 3. Vishnu Narayanan, TD Medical College, Alappuzha.

Adzap: 1.Rahul Raveendran and team, Government Medical College, Thrissur, 2. Nandu S.S. and team, TD Medical College, Alappuzha, 3. Alan Jacob Abraham and team, Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram.

Tom Dick and Harry: 1.Government Medical College, Kozhikode, 2. Malabar Medical College, Kozhikode, 3. Government Medical College, Thrissur.

Miss SP: 1. Thasneem M.P, Government Medical College, Kozhikode, 2. Nada Nafeesa, TD Medical College, Alappuzha, 3. Mariya Babu, Government Medical College, Thrissur.

Potpourri: 1. Government Medical College, Kottayam, 2. Government Medical College, Kozhikode, 3. Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram.
