Kozhikode artist for Florence Biennale

M.K. Shakeel, lawyer and artist from Kozhikode, has been selected to take part in the ‘Florence Biennale-2015’ to be held in Italy in October.

According to a press release, his works have been included in the category of digital art.

The international selection committee watched his works such as Butterflies , Golden Ratio , Buddha, and Let There be Sunflowers as part of the selection process.

Mr. Shakeel has conducted art exhibitions in Kozhikode, including a group expo with Minister M.K. Muneeer, group expo with other lawyer-artists, and an exhibition based on Leonardo da Vinci.

This is the tenth edition of the Florence Biennale, which is held at Fortezza da Basso, a fort built during the Renaissance era, the press release said.
