The Indian Medical Association women’s wing (WIMA), in association with IMA Film Club, is organising a film festival at IMA Hall here from May 1 to 3.
The festival will be inaugurated by script writer Deedhi Damodaran at 6.30 p.m. on Friday. The Kid , a Charlie Chaplin movie, will be the inaugural film and will be screened at 4 p.m. The inaugural session will be followed by the screening of TheJapanese Wife directed by Aparana Sen. The Red Balloon by Albert Lamorisse, Manjadikkuru by Anjali Menon, So Close to Life by Ingmar Bergman will be screened successively from 4 p.m. onwards on May 2. Modern Times , another Charlie Chaplin movie, will be screened on May 3.
