IIMK inks MoU with Brunel University

To work together in education and research collaboration

The Indian Institute of Management - Kozhikode (IIMK) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Brunel University, London, to join forces in education and research collaboration.

Prof. Debashis Chatterjee, Director, IIMK, and Prof. Rebecca Lingwood, Provost, Brunel University, inked the agreement for three years. The MoU is intended to promote cooperation and advancement of international understanding between the two institutes.

A statement said the agreement underlined the shared objectives of development and promotion of research collaboration in areas of mutual interest; exchange of faculty, scholars, and students; sponsoring of cooperative seminars, workshops, and development and delivery of training programmes.

“Collaborations with universities of repute are always a win-win situation where we mutually benefit in terms of sharing knowledge, expertise and skills. The collaboration between IIMK and Brunel University aims at maintaining excellence in areas of research, teaching, and consulting,” Prof. Chatterjee said.

Brunel University was represented by a three-member faculty team of Dr. Monomita Nandy, Dr. David Sarpong. and Dr. Claire Donavan. Speaking on behalf of the university, Dr. Nandy said Brunel University was happy to join hands with IIMK.

Together, the two institutions will endeavour to make a difference by providing faculty, scholars/students, and researchers a unique experience with a cross-cultural flavour, he added.

The visiting faculty members during their three-day tour also held a series of meetings with faculty members of IIMK headed by Prof. Rudra Sensarma, Dean (research, innovations and internationalisation) and Prof. Deepa Sethi, Chairperson, international relations, and faculty member, humanities and liberal arts in management.
