Gold stolen from house

The Chevayur police have registered a case in connection with the alleged theft of 42 sovereigns of gold ornaments from a house at Vengeri in Kozhikode city. The theft took place between June 12 and 13 when the the five-member family was away visiting their relatives in Ernakulam. The police said the robber entered the house by breaking the back door. All the three cupboards inside house were opened during the theft. Forensic experts and the dog squad visited the spot for collecting evidence.
