Those with a penchant for photography and a concern for environment may get ready with their camera. A photography contest with environment protection as theme is awaiting them. The contest in connection with World Environment Day on June 5 is being organised by the State committee of the Kerala Sasthra Sahithya Parishad.
Photographs directly or indirectly conveying the message of environmental protection or its importance may be taken with mobile phone or professional camera. The entries, in A3 size and with suitable caption, should reach V.K. Chandran, convener, Parisaram Subject Committee, Chalappuram post, Parishad Bhavan, Chalappuram, Kozhikode, on or before May 25.
The entries will be exhibited at a special show in Kozhikode on June 5. Ten best photographs will be selected for the award. Besides the prizes, the winners will get an opportunity to visit the Integrated Rural Technology Centre at Mundur in Palakkad, which is a research, development, and training centre set up the Parishad.
