Bus operators warned of stringent action

The Deputy Transport Commissioner has warned of stringent legal action against private bus operators and owners who refuse entry to those taking care of Nipah victims. The Regional Transport Officers in Vadakara and Kozhikode have been instructed to suspend the permit of such buses. The intervention comes in the wake of reports that Health Department officials, nurses, and bystanders are being denied entry to buses following Nipah outbreak.
