Youth held on
charge of cheating
The Nadakkavu police on Friday arrested a Coimbatore native on the charges of cheating a youth by offering job abroad. K.V. Karthikeyan, 26, the accused in the case, was nabbed following a petition filed by Sabin Das. The police said the accused was part of a three-member gang that grabbed around Rs.1.70 lakh from the complainant. He was produced before the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court-IV and remanded in judicial custody for 14 days, the police said. – Staff Reporter
