Air India introduces direct flights to Delhi from Calicut

Air India has introduced direct flights to New Delhi from the Calicut airport.

Its flights AI 425/ AI 426, which were operating on Delhi-Calicut-Kannur-Delhi route, began services on round-robin basis from Friday.

Acting Airport Director K. Mohamed Shahid said that passengers could now fly non-stop from Delhi to Kozhikode on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and from Calicut to Delhi on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

On Wednesdays and Saturdays, the flight will depart from Delhi at 9.05 a.m. and reach Calicut at 12.15 p.m. It will depart from Calicut at 1 p.m. and reach Kannur at 1.30 p.m.

Then it will depart for Delhi at 2.15 p.m. and reach Delhi at 5.15 p.m.

On Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, the flight will depart from Delhi at 9.05 a.m. to reach Kannur at 12.15 p.m. It will depart from Kannur for Calicut at 1 p.m. and from Calicut for Delhi at 2.15 p.m.

The new schedule is planned till October 26, Mr. Shahid said.
