The third edition of the Kozhikode International Film Festival (KIFF 2017) will be held from February 10 to 16 at the Tagore Centenary Hall in Kozhikode. “Hundreds of people go to Thiruvananthpuram from north Kerala every year to be part of the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK). A festival of similar magnitude in Kozhikode will be able to cater to movie buffs of north Kerala,” festival director Chelavoor Venu told reporters here on Monday. The festival is being organised by the Kozhikode city Corporation in association with the Aswini Film Society and the Bank Men’s Film Society with the support of the Kerala Chalachitra Academy, Federation of Film Societies of India and Calicut Press Club Film Society. Releasing the logo of the festival, Mayor Thottathil Ravindran, chairman of the organising committee, said the festival would feature around 35 movies. The final list of movies is yet to be finalised.
Delegate passes that cost ₹300 each will be distributed from January 20 to 24 at the organising committee office at Hotel Nalanda.
