Dairy farmers’ convention
Department of Dairy Development in association with various dairy Cooperative societies in the district is organising a district dairy farmers’ convention on January 4 and 5. The inauguration of the renovated milk processing plant of the Vellikkulangara Cooperative Society will be held on the occasion. District-level cattle expo and competition, dairy development seminar, workshop for society workers, face-to-face with farmers, dairy quiz and public convention will be part of the programme. Minister for Dairy Development K.C. Joseph will inaugurate the plant as well as the seminar at Vadakara on January 4. MLA C.K. Nanu will preside over the function. — Staff Reporter
