Southwest monsoon hits Odisha coast

Heavy rainfall forecast across most parts of the State over the next two days

The southwest monsoon advanced into Odisha on Friday, covering all coastal districts.

The Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre said that conditions are becoming favourable for further advancement of the southwest monsoon into the remaining parts of the State during the next 48 hours. The monsoon has covered Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Gajpati, Ganjam, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Dhenkanal, Mayurbhanj and parts of Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Boudh, Angul and Keonjhar.
