October 14, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:46 am IST - Kolkata:

In a bid to tackle the rush of passengers during Durga Puja, the Kolkata Metro Rail has decided to run 738 trains, instead of 636 ran last year, during the four days of the Puja starting from next Monday.

“The number of trains that will run this year during the Puja is 16.04 per cent higher than last year,” Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation Limited (KMRCL) A. K. Kapoor told journalists.

The KMRCL will also run 22 additional trains from the Kavi Subhash Metro station to Noapara in North 24 Parganas district from October 14.
